Do you know why you do what you do? Maybe you know what you do and how to do it, but can you clearly define why. Knowing the answer is essential to success…it will inspire people to do the things that inspire them.
Simon Sinek explains this concept in his book, “Start With Why. How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action.” To quote the book jacket…”Those who start with WHY never manipulate, they inspire. And people follow them not because they have to; they follow because they want to.” It’s a concept that needs regular reinforcement. If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend the read!
